Who are we?
The history of eMAG began in 2001. in Romania, in one apartment with 8 employees and 122 orders (IT products), delivered with 2 cars.
From then until today, our customers are of paramount importance. We strive not only to meet their needs, but also to anticipate them in order to be sure of the excellent level of the overall user experience. That's why we pay attention to detail and constantly innovate in our platform.
We are also developing the categories and the product portfolio, and our team is constantly growing and together we learn daily from the experience.
On November 29, 2013 for the first time we held the Black Friday campaign in Bulgaria, the world-famous day with the biggest trade discounts during the year. As for the first time in Bulgaria, the presentation of the campaign exceeded our expectations many times and so we continued every year.

At the start of the first event in 2013. exactly at 07:15, the online visitors of eMAG.bg were over 45,000 - more than the capacity of the National Stadium Vasil Levski. In the first hour of the online campaign alone, there were 15,000 orders, and over 1,200,000 site visits and over 52,000 items purchased throughout the day.
But we follow the maxim "Keep evolving" That's why the next campaigns continued with new records: in 2014. over 110,000 products were ordered and we had over 1.5 million visits to the site that day alone, and in 2015. by 19:00 alone, 154,000 products had already been ordered and 9 cars had been booked.
In 2021 over 382,000 products of all categories were ordered, and in the "Golden Minute" for the day - 07:04, 1626 products were ordered.
In 2014 eMAG Bulgaria introduced the Marketplace platform, which allows retailers to offer their own products on our platform. In this way we provide our customers with a greater variety of products, and retailers - the opportunity to work with one of the largest online retailers in the area, increase their audience of potential customers and be part of the driving force of accelerated growth. online trade in Bulgaria.
In 2012 eMAG joined Naspers, which allowed us to grow regionally and invest even more in the development of e-commerce.

In 2012 our office in Bulgaria was also opened. Then we introduced all the big trading campaigns that we had in Romania: Crazy Days, Prices Revolution, Stock Busters and last but not least - our biggest campaign Black Friday. Thanks to our work, today we are among the most popular online stores in Bulgaria. And this success gave confidence to the company in 2013. to open an office in Hungary, where the same business model was applied.
Our IT research and development department is dedicated to the development of software applications specializing in e-commerce. Today we have thousands of excellent IT professionals who successfully develop applications for all countries in which we have offices.

In 2015 we also started to develop in the Fashion sector, acquired Fashion Days and created our own clothing brand.
